Forget-Me-Not

The first day of December brought the lovely people from the Forget-me-Not service to Shire House and we enjoyed reminiscing about Christmases past. It was very nostalgic looking at old Christmas decorations, cards, advent calendars and such like. Their visit prompted lots of memories and much chatter.

Sing along at Treetops

We enjoyed another sing along session with our friends at Treetops this morning, 24th November.  The tea and biscuits is always a highlight being served in 'proper' cups and saucers!

Charmouth visit

We braved the awful weather on 10th November and went for a drive to Charmouth.  We weren't brave enough to walk along the beach but just enjoyed watching the stormy sea from the warmth and safety of the car.

Fireworks display

On 4th November, residents enjoyed a fireworks display, with the help of local lifeboat crew member, John Cable, who was entrusted with the matches and tasked with setting them off safely. He did a splendid job! Family and residents then tucked into sausage and mash.

British Legion poppies

The last day of October saw Cyril and Caroline braving the cold and rain to sell poppies in Lyme Regis town centre.  Cyril is a dedicated collector for the British Legion and has been selling poppies every year for many, many years.

New Company Car, Hoorah!

Having taken delivery of our new people carrier, we made the most of the lovely weather and drove to Beer. We went down to the beach and then up to the cliff top to take in the view.
